The WFT-E1a attaches to the bottom of the EOS 1Ds Mark II ** allowing the transfer of image data directly from the camera to a transmission room or to a server The flexibility of the WFT-E1a makes it suitable for sports, commercial studio, even fashion runway photography. Data transfer is done through through a wireless or Ethernet-based LAN system to an FTP server, including options to send individual images as they re shot or as a group of images when shooting is completed. The wireless LAN system is compatible with the IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g standards. A commercial LAN access point of wireless LAN adapter is required. **Compatible with EOS-1D Mark II and EOS 20D with firmware upgrade from Canon Specifications: Maximum Link Speed (Wireless LAN): 54Mbps Maximum Link Speed (Cable LAN): 100Mbps Wirless LAN Transfer Distance / Normal Antenna (approx.) 60m / 197 ft. Wirless LAN Transfer Distance / Optional ERA-E1a Antenna (approx.) 150m / 492 ft. File Type Selectable ( RAW, JPEG, or RAW+JPEG) WPA-PSK authentintication and TKIP encryption method Package includes a mini-antenna and IEEE1394 cable The WFT-E1a requires a BP-511A Battery or ACK-E2 AC Adapter to operate.
